The Napo River Lookout Point
The tour starts at Caveman´s office at 8:30 am. There we will be picked up and transported for 50 minutes to La Punta Ahuano.From there a motorized canoe will take us about 20 minutes to the lodge where the tour will start.
We will begin with a walk through primary rainforest, where we will have the opportunity to observe some small mammals like monkeys and agoutis, different types of birds, reptiles and also a variety of insects; this hike takes 3 hours, which can be extended according to the interests of the adventurers.
After the jungle trek we will enjoy a delicious lunch, and relax for about 40 minutes.
After lunch, we will cross the Napo River to visit a Kichwa family; they will show us how they live, how to harvest their products, and their traditional food preparation. We will also have the opportunity to taste the unique handcrafted chocolate of the natives of the area.
Next, we will take the motor canoe upstream the Napo river to visit this interesting animal traps museum, where we will learn the hunting techniques and skills developed by the Kichwas. This visit to the museum will take us around 1 hour.
After our beautiful cultural experience and our walk, we will freshen up in the great Napo River, and enjoy the water by tubing down for 45 minutes.
To complete the day, we will travel back to Tena for 50 minutes.

El Mirador del Río Napo
Empezamos en la Oficina de CaveMan a las 8:30 am, ahí nos recoge el transporte y nos trasladamos por 50 min hasta La Punta Ahuano.
En este punto nos espera una canoa a motor la cual nos llevará por aproximadamente 20 minutos hasta el lodge, que es donde comienza el programa.Iniciamos con una caminata en selva primaria, donde tendremos la oportunidad de observar algunos mamíferos pequeños como monos y guatusas, diferentes tipos de aves, reptiles y además una variedad de insectos; esta caminata tiene una duración de 2 a 3 horas las cuales se pueden extender un poco más de acuerdo al interés que tengan los aventureros en conocer y aprender acerca de la selva.Después de la caminata en la selva disfrutamos de un delicioso lunch, y nos relajamos por unos 40 minutos.
Luego continuamos con las actividades.
Cruzamos el río Napo para visitar una familia Kichwa; ellos nos enseñarán cómo viven, cómo cosechan los productos y la preparación de sus alimentos ancestrales; además tendremos la oportunidad de degustar el singular chocolate hecho artesanalmente al estilo de los nativos de la zona .
Regresamos a la canoa navegamos aguas arriba hasta llegar el museo de trampas donde nos demostraran cómo funcionan y que tipo de animal era cazado con cada trampa, esto tiene una duración de 1 hora.
Después de las demostraciones y la linda experiencia cultural, sólo nos queda refrescarnos en el gran Río Napo, disfrutaremos del agua por 45 minutos bajando en boyas, sintiendo el río de una manera diferente y dejándonos llevar por la corriente.Terminando el descenso regresamos a Tena, esto nos tomará 50 minutos.

The Spirits of Giant Tree
We will be in one of the main tributaries of the Amazon River; you can discover the giant tree, the majestic amazon wildlife, and learn about medicinal plants and the secrets of the Kichwa tribe. Also you'll have the opportunity to prepare delicious handmade chocolate in a beautiful river side jungle farm.

Misahuallí Amazon Basin
This tour will begin at 8:30 at Caveman's office; from there we will take our own transportation to Misahuallí.
Misahuallí is a small town with a special attraction, besides the beautiful beach of the river, it has some special residents, capuchin monkeys living freely in the trees of the beach and in the park.
After a short walk through Misahuallí, we will take a motorized canoe upstream for about 15 minutes where we will start a 2 hour hike; our destination will be the giant tree. Thirty people holding hands are needed to cover its circumference, that giant!
After our visit to the giant tree, we will take the motorized canoe down the river for about 20 minutes to the Chocolate Farm. Here we are going to visit a cacao plantation and learn more about our chocolate culture in the Chocolate Museum. Here we will also have a delicious box lunch, which will replenish our energy to continue.
We will then take the canoe to visit the Kichwa village, where we will learn about this fascinating culture through different presentations about their food, dances, shamanism and crafts.
After this interesting experience that lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes, the motor canoe brings us back to Misahuallí. At the end of the tour, our transportation takes us back to Tena at approximately 4 pm.

Misahuallí, puerta al Amazonas
Este tour empieza a las 8:30 en la oficina de CaveMan, desde ahí nos trasladamos a Misahuallí un pequeño pueblo con una atráctivo especial, además de la hermosa playa del río que lleva su mismo nombre, tiene unos anfitriones especiales, los monos capuchinos que bien libres en los árboles de la playa y en el parque.
Luego de un corto paseo por Misahuallí, una canoa a motor nos llevará río abajo por unos 15 minutos hasta el punto donde iniciamos una caminata de dos horas; nuestra meta es el árbol gigante en el que se necesitan unas treinta personas cogidas de las manos para poder abarcar su circunferencia.
Después de haber disfrutado con la naturaleza, nos recoge de nuevo la canoa a motor y bajamos por el río unos 20 minutos hasta una comunidad Kickwa, aquí nos reciben con un almuerzo típico delicioso, que repondrá nuestra energía para seguir conociendo a cerca de esta fascinante cultura a través de diferentes presentaciones sobre su comida, danzas, shamanismo y artesanías.
Luego de esta interesantes experiencia que dura aproximadamente 1:15 minutos, la canoa a motor nos lleve hasta la finca del chocolate en la cual tendremos la oportunidad de visitar el museo del chocolate, preparar y degustar el delicioso chocolate amazónico que en los últimos años ha llegado a ser el mejor del mundo. Una corta caminata de por la finca conociendo la plantación cacao y el famoso Avatar Tree.
De regreso a Misahuallí, y luego a Tena.

This is one of our most interesting and varied trips because it involves many different activities all in one day. We will have the opportunity to learn about the plants, giant trees, animals and culture of the Amazon. Our main form of transportation will be motorized canoe.

Selva Viva Reserve
We will start at 8:30 am at the agreed meeting point and from there go to Punta Ahuano. The adventure will begin when we get on the motor canoe for 45 minutes downstream to the Selva Viva Reserve. We will start a 1 or 2 hour hike, depending on your preference, through the Reserve where you can see wild animals such as parrots, toucans, monkeys and a wide variety of plants.
Then we will head to the Animal Rescue Center where we will stay for about 1 hour.
After that we will take the motor canoe 20 minutes to the Kichwa museum of animal traps, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. With renewed energy we will visit the museum to learn how the indigenous people of the area hunted to survive. For the last activity of the day you have three options: tubing, indigenous artisanal gallery, or butterfly farm.
Return trip on motor canoe for 45 minutes to Punta Ahuano.

Reserva Selva Viva
Empezamos a las 8:30 am en el punto acordado para luego dirigirnos a la Punta Ahuano.
La aventura comienza cuando nos subimos a la canoa a motor para trasladarnos por 45 minutos río abajo hasta la reserva Selva Viva. Empezamos la caminata de 1 o 2 horas por la reserva, donde podremos ver animales en libertad como : loros, tucanes, monos, y una extensa variedad de plantas.
Luego nos dirigimos al centro de rescate de animales y recorreremos en 1 hora aproximadamente.
Regresamos a la canoa motor para surcar hasta la galería de arte de 20 minutos, donde previo a la visita disfrutaremos de un delicioso almuerzo.
Con energía renovada entramos a la galería para aprender como los indígenas de la zona fabrican las artesanías para su uso y comercio.
Por ultimo para cerrar el día con broche de oro visitamos el Mariposario de Ahuano que nos tomará 1 hora.
Regresamos en canoa motor por 20 minutos asta la Punta Ahuano y después a Tena.

From there we will take a canoe surrounded by spectacular scenery, and paddle for about 2 hours down the Arajuno River to get to the San Pedro de Arajuno Bridge. We will then travel 50 minutes by private transport back to Tena.

Reserva Biológica Jatun Sacha
Empezamos a las 8:30 am, cuando nos reunimos en la oficina de CaveMan Adventures para entregarles las botas y darles las últimas indicaciones.
Luego tomamos nuestro transporte y nos dirigimos al sureste, a la Comunidad de Chichicorrumi que se encuentra a 50 minutos de Tena donde empieza la aventura con una caminata de 4 a 5 horas aproximadamente que nos lleva a la Comunidad de Santa Bárbara estos tiempos varían de acuerdo al interés o estado físico de los aventureros; pasamos una singular y exuberante reserva de selva primaria dónde podemos disfrutar y conocer sobre la flora y fauna silvestre de nuestra increíble Amazonia.
Desde Santa Bárbara que está ubicada a orillas del Río Arajuno tomamos una Canoa a remo y descendemos por aproximadamente 2 horas rodeadas de unos espectaculares escenarios hasta llegar al puente de San Pedro, en donde nos espera el transporte de regreso a Tena

Misahualli Jungle Experience
This tour will begin at 8:30 am at Caveman's office. From there we will take our own transportation to The Waterfalls. Once there we will walk 40 minutes to reach the largest waterfall. After swimming and relaxing we will continue our way to Misahuallí, a small town with special attractions. Besides the beautiful beach by the river it has some special residents, capuchin monkeys living freely in the trees on the beach and in the park.
After a short walk through Misahuallí we will take a motorized canoe upstream for about 15 minutes to the starting point of our 2 hour hike; our destination will be the giant tree. Thirty people holding hands are needed to cover its entire circumference.
After our visit to the giant tree we will take the motorized canoe downstream for about 10 minutes to the Kichwa village. Here we will have a delicious typical lunch, which will replenish our energy to continue learning about this fascinating culture through different presentations about their food, dances, shamanism and crafts.
After this interesting experience that lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes the motor canoe will bring us back to Misahuallí where we will also have the opportunity to have lunch if we did not eat in the village. At the end of the tour our transportation will take us back to Tena at approximately 3:30 pm.
